Notebook computers: è Corrected

  • The Library has 10 30 notebook computers available for students to check out on a first come-first serve basis.
  • Overdue fines begin at $5 when 15 minutes late and increase up to the replacement value of the computer. are $20 (twenty dollars) a day
  • SVSU does not assume responsibility for the presence of malicious software, viruses, etc.  The notebook is "cleaned prior to each use according to SVSU standards.
  • Students are released from liability upon the successful inspection by authorized library personnel using University standards within two (2) normal working business days

Special needs equipment available in the Library include: è Corrected

  • Kurzweil - Computer-based text reader located on the Reference Consultation Room PC and on two PCs in the library computer lab (Z 111).
  • Amigos - The Circulation Desk has three two Amigo power scooters provided by Disability Services. These are available on a first come-first serve basis. These are checked out on a daily basis.
  • Phonic Ear - Phonic Ear is a portable wireless FM systems for Personal Assistive Listening. The Circulation Desk has one available for check out on a first come-first serve basis. These are checked out on a daily basis.
  • eBeam - eBeam Projection is a compact, portable, and easy to use device that turns a wall or whiteboard into an interactive whiteboard. Arrangements for use need to be made with SVSU’s Disability Services but is checked out at the Library Circulation Desk.
