On March 1st, 2018 - Heather was asked to provide Thom with the list of just the items in the bundle in which we are interested so he can see how many "fees" are associated with this upgrade. There are (per the spreadsheet distributed in an email dated 2/13/18).

- SCAT Tables (unlimited capacity)
- Bursar's Office - Input and Output

- Cloud Backup Service
- Software License for 1 test/training environment (requires server)
I was asked to provide Thom with Server specs.

May 16, 2018 - we received copies of a purchasing agreement from III Salesman, Dennis Carter.
July 23rd, 2018 - we have a conference call with Dennis Carter in Anita's office. (Anita, Thom, Heather F, Matt are present) We go over questions we have on bundle products, pricing and questions we had leading up to this point. We find out that September is a possibility to go hosted but that doesn't give us much time for prep and could create issues with Students being back in full force by then.
July 30th, 2018 - I send out an email to Dennis asking for a checklist for migration. He states that once we have finalized our decision, this will be provided by a Hosting Migration Manager.
July 31st, 2018 - after meeting with his staff, Thom concedes the September date but we should shoot for the week after Finals in December or the week we come back in January.
August 6th, 2018 - Anita makes the decision and sends email to Dennis, formalizing our commitment to moving to Hosted. Core bundle cost is $58,626.
August, 2018 - We agree on the week after Finals for migration. I'm tasked with confirming the availability of that date with III and getting a checklist, so we can begin planning phase, ASAP.
August 27th, 2018 - we hear back from III support, the date is good to go but they are still working on assigning us a Migration Specialist.
September 4th and 5th, 2018 - Dennis sends Anita forms he needs filled out and Anita returns them, sealing the deal the day after.
September 13th, 2018 - I get a hold of Dennis finally and he confirms the process of getting the checklist and says our contact should be getting a hold of us shortly.
September 25th, 2018 - we hear from Cheryl Seaman, the specialist that has been to assigned to us for our Migration. She lets us know she will be working with us and will be getting us the 'checklist' soon!
October 3rd, 2018 - Cheryl sends us the info we need to prep for the migration.

October 22nd, 2018 - Department meeting to discuss roles and responsibilities for pending migration.
MATT'S TASKS AND ACTION ITEMS
DNS - get with IT ASAP to discuss what we will need to add to our DNS, discuss when it needs to happen and then send out a reminder when it gets close and once the day hits, we have ITS flip the switch on the DNS entries
IT In General - Make sure IT knows about all we are doing and when, so that if things go south that require help on our end, they will know to be ready and what's going on and to account for coverage if need be, in a bind.
SSL Cert - It is indicated that III will copy over our existing Certificate and since we are up to date on that we don't have to do anything here.
Ports - Verify with IT that port 636 will be open, if it's not already before we do the migration.
Server IP - With Beth, work on a plan to inform external Vendors (Databases, Resources) on the new Server IP Address.
Other 'Informing' - Create message for SVSU Library Home Page before shut down occurs, let MCLS know.
Printing - work with Cynthia to go over Printing specifications to make sure we will be ok in Circ after migration to Hosted. The result here can be applied to all printing done throughout the library when it comes to Sierra.
Backup - This will be checked by III but to make sure and verify backups are still going well, each and every day, leading up to, right before and after migration.
Testing, Testing and More Testing - work with department to come up with testing procedures and our own checklists, so after the migration is complete, we can test the functionality and see if anything needs to be reported.
MCLS - Submitted form to MCLS on October 30th, which included our new IP, the removal of our old IP, the date of when we migrate and more. Talked with Cynthia on this process and they should be creating a ticket for us on their end to track to the progress of them getting the information.
